Aaron Lewis at Ocean Casino Atlantic City

To say Aaron Lewis is pro American would be an understatement. Chants of FJB, “Lets go Brandon” and “U.S.A.” filled the arena throughout the night. There was even a Trump lookalike and enough American flag clothing you’d think it was the 4th of July. It was awesome.

His stage show is all acoustic, just him and 2 other guys on guitar and it really is a great sound. The show opened with 2 of his biggest hits, “Sinner” followed by “Grandaddy's Gun” which got the crowd in a perfect singing mood right from the jump. The song that sent the crowd into another level was the 4th song in the set “Lets Go Fishin” which is filled with not so subtle shots at the current administration.

The first Staind song of the evening was “So Far Away” which he nailed. The middle of the set was a medley of songs such as “Summer of 69”, “Wanted Dead or Alive”, “If I Could Turn Back Time” and “Ironic” where we saw Lewis hit the high notes using his best “bud light” voice ending with another Staind hit, “Outside” to close out the set.

The encore was nothing but patriotic. Starting with “I Ain’t Made In China” followed by his biggest hit, “Country Boy”. The closing 2 songs were Stainds “Its Been Awhile” which was incredible to see followed by his latest release, “Am I The Only One” which is a cry to red blooded Americans everywhere to stand up and fight for what they believe in using lines like “if you don’t like it there’s the fuckin door”. It’s a classic.

I left the show saying I would 100% see him again especially in an intimate setting such as Ovation Hall and I highly recommend anybody check him out. But, if your on the other side of the isle, have thick skin and enjoy the music and humor.
